Our
Story
The Children's Alliance Center for Palo Pinto County was founded in 2011 by five women who live in Palo Pinto County. These five women are Melissa Donley, Karen Thompson, Leann Johnson, Joy Eaton, and the program's current Executive Director, Sheree Patterson.

In 2011, there were 114 confirmed cases of child abuse or neglect in Palo Pinto County. These women recognized that our community had a problem with no real way to combat it. One evening, the five of them decided that they were going to find a way to create an advocacy center for children.

With the help of former district attorney Michael Burns, the Mineral Wells Police Department, the Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Office, and countless other individuals and organizations, the Children's Alliance Center for Palo Pinto County was formed in 2012. The building was acquired in the spring of 2013, and opened its doors to begin providing services in May of 2014.

Without the help and dedication of the community, all of the people named above, and many more that were left unnamed, the Children's Alliance Center for Palo Pinto County would not be able to provide aid and services to the children of this community. Thank you so much for your support!
