Our Goals

01

To minimize re-victimization of child victims and their non-offending family members throughout the investigative and procedural stages of their cases and beyond.

02

To facilitate prosecution of perpetrators through effective fact finding and strong case development.

03

To be reflective and responsive to the needs and resources of the communities that we serve.

See something, say something.

Texas law requires that any person suspecting abuse or neglect of a child must immediately make a report. Individuals are not required to investigate or have evidence that abuse has occurred, you only need to suspect.

If you believe a child is immediate danger, call 9-1-1. If you do not believe that danger is imminent, please contact the Child Abuse Hotline at 800-252-5400 to speak with a statewide intake coordinator to express your concerns. You can also make an online report at www.txabusehotline.org.

Children in abusive situations often will not speak on their own behalf; you must act for them if you believe abuse is occuring.
